This is possibly the easiest recipe ever. The flapjacks are an excellent source of energy with bananas and dried fruit providing the sweetness. All natural and all good!
Key ingredients:
- 2 bananas
- 180g oats
- 2 tablespoons of oil (coconut is healthiest option although olive oil is fine too)
- Optional ingredients (use them all, or none at all – whatever you prefer):
- Raisins/ cranberries/ dried mango/ dried apricot/ nuts/ seeds (Like fresh, dried fruit does have a high sugar content but it is all natural and as it is a good source of fibre, it is absorbed into your system fairly slowly.)
Method:
- Simply mash the bananas, add in the oats, oil and optional ingredients and then give it a good mix
- Squash it into a baking tin
- Cook it at 175 degrees for about 20 minutes or until golden on the top
- Cut it up whilst warm
- It will keep for a week if kept in an airtight container – perfect for a snack on the go!
